MetroAtlanta Ambulance Recognized at Cobb Chamber’s 79th Annual Meeting

The MDJ Citizen of the Year award went to Cobb County’s frontline health workers at the Cobb Chamber’s 79th annual meeting Monday. The announcement breaks with tradition by naming a group of “Citizens of the Year,” rather than honoring an individual. Frontline workers from Metro Atlanta Ambulance, Wellstar Health Systems, Cobb and Douglas Public Health, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, Northside Hospital and Kaiser Permanente were all recognized as the MDJ Cobb Citizen of the Year.

Otis Brumby III, publisher of the Marietta Daily Journal, presented the MDJ’s Citizen of the Year Award at the Cobb Chamber’s annual meeting. Brumby called various frontline workers to the stage to represent Cobb’s thousands of healthcare employees.
Vice President of Operations Lee Oliver and CICP Operations Manager, Chris Davis were called to the stage to accept the award on behalf of MetroAtlanta Ambulance Service.  (excerpt from MDJ article by Chart Riggill)
